Happy Holidays

It is beginning to look at lot like Christmas here in Cache Valley! We absolutely love this time of year! It means that school is almost out, ski season has officially begun, and the holidays are quickly approaching, which means making memories with family and friends is just around the corner. The end of this semester is particularly special because Ty will officially graduate from Utah State University in 2 weeks--very exciting! He is graduating in Finance & Economics and will begin applying for Law School in January.

We put up our first Christmas Tree this past week in our little apartment and it looks great. Tyler's parents donated some decorative pillows to us which became our make-shift tree skirt, and they look very cute. Tyler, as I found out a few mornings ago, enjoys leaving the tree lights on all night long. And as I sit and type this, Tyler is putting lights (that were generously donated to us by my dad) up in our windows to add to the spirit of the season.

Ty and I have spent many Christmas holidays together in the years that we have known each other (including the one in 6th grade when I gave him a super cheesy present that I am still embarrassed about). We are looking forward to this one, however, as it is our first Christmas as a married couple. As I was looking through pictures and videos a few months ago for our wedding video, I came across all of the videos that Tyler sent to me from his mission in the Baltic States. There were 2 that I found particularly enjoyable. He filmed them right before his second Christmas there and both of us laugh really hard when we watch them. I hope you enjoy.

We are so grateful for the memories we have and for the ones that are yet to come. We have been so blessed in our lives and are so grateful for the people in our lives that have made us who we are and given us what we have. Life is so amazing and we only look forward to what it has in store for us next.
Happy Holidays! love, cam & ty

fall break

This past weekend was our fall break from school so we decided to head to sunny St. George! Both sets of our parents have homes in St. George, which we are so grateful for! We have so much fun coming down and hanging in the sun. We spent some time with my family-my parents came down to help get my grandma settled in to her home in St. George, and with our friends Sadie and Drew. We went to the pool/hot tub, ate SO MUCH food, went to the Sand Dunes in Snow Canyon & had long-jump contests, shopped until we dropped, ate MORE food, went to my personal favorite Nielsen's Custard, and loved relaxing! We love vacation and are always sad to come home to the real world.

fall is here

This afternoon Ty and I decided to go on a journey up Logan Canyon. The colors in the canyon are beautiful this time of year and the air is getting crisp. It was a great day for a walk along the River Trail at 2nd Dam and was fun to see all of the fish actually swimming and not hiding from fisherman in the dam. There were so many baby fish, which we have never seen before at 2nd Dam, ducks, and the leaves along the trail were gorgeous. Fall is my favorite time of year so it was fun to get out on a Sunday afternoon and spend some time with Ty just relaxing and taking in the natural beauty of the great valley we live in!

22 days!

We have officially been married for 22 days! It is so crazy how fast time flies...not that 22 days is a long time but it seems like just yesterday was our wedding day--which was a great day and I will post pics soon!
In the past 22 days Ty and I have gotten married-the wedding dinner and the wedding day were so much fin and we loved being with our family, been to Cancun, Mexico: swam in the ocean, laid by the pool and beach, went on a jungle tour on speed boats to snorkle at the 2nd largest coral reef in the world, been to the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, eaten more guacamole and chips than we could have imagined; we came home and I brought a nice little parasite with me, making me sooo sick for the next 4-5 days-Ty took such good care of me without complaining until the 4th day when he told me he was sick of me being sick :); we went to Ikea to get night stands and a dresser, returned all of the gifts that we had doubles of, started school, college football started (woohooo), and have spent so much time together. We watch 'Big Brother' about every night...we means Tyler loves it and I watch it because I have nothing else to do.

I am so glad that Ty and I have known each other for such a long time because so many people say how difficult it is to live with someone else. We, on the other hand, have not had any issues...other than I go to bed at 10 every night and he doesn't go to bed until at least midnight. Then I wake up at 6 every morning which means Ty wakes up then also, not because he plans to! I feel bad but I have class so I don't know what else to do!

We love being married and are so thankful that we don't have to drive home late at night after hanging out anymore...it is the best!
