is summer really almost over?
I am dying that summer is nearing its end! Time truly does go too fast.
We have spent this summer just relaxing and spending time with our family and friends. We have really enjoyed watching Stella learn and grow each day. She loves being outside so we have spent a good amount of time on walks, playing in the grass at the park, and swimming at the pool.
Ty has had the great opportunity to work for a law firm in Provo as an intern and has enjoyed his time there. They have asked him to stay on during the fall so he will continue working there, going to school, and working for Prestige Solutions from home, as well as watching Stella a couple days a week (which he wants to do - she is going to ware him out :)). He is such a hard worker and I am so impressed by all that he is able to do. He will begin his third year of law school in a couple of weeks and we are so excited that the end is in sight. It has been such a fun experience and he has learned so much in his time at the U - we can't wait to see what our future has in store once he is done with school.
I have had the wonderful opportunity to take Fridays off for the entire summer (I am so sad that it is ending in a couple of weeks) so I can spend time with Stella. She and I have gone on lots of adventures and had so much fun hanging out together on those days. I love my job but being a mom is so much better! I am truly envious of moms that are able to stay home with their kids, they are so lucky!
As it was Stella's first summer, she experienced a lot of 'firsts': her first time to Red Fish Lake on our annual trip with my extended Falk Family about a month ago and she loved it. The lake was freezing but she still wanted to play in it. All of her cousins love her and can't get enough of her. She is always the belle of the ball!, her first time to the Hyrum 4th of July parade, the Famous Preston Night Rodeo parade, Fireworks, the Farmers Market, camping, BBQs, etc. etc. It was so much fun!
Football season is upon us and, as usual, Ty has his entire fall weekend schedule booked out for sporting events. We can't wait to take Stella to her first football game and get her all decked out in her Denver Broncos gear!
