end of summer

Ok, I seriously need to be better about blogging! I have decided that blogging in the summer is hard because the days are long, warm (actually pretty HOT here in SLC) and after work I would rather be outside than blog inside.

That said, our summer was great. Ty spent his time doing an internship and working and I spent my time working. We were able to do lots of fun things including boating, Red Fish Lake with my family, fishing, hiking, tennis, lots of BBQs, swimming, golfing...the list goes on and on.

We recently moved from downtown SLC (which we loved) to a suburb of the city which is much more family friendly and an environment that we feel will be better for our baby girl to be in. We love it so far! It is a little bit bigger than our last apartment, brand new, and has an amazing pool area. It also has trax right next to it so Ty rides trax to school each day, which is nice.

I can't remember if I have mentioned that we are having a baby girl, but we are! We are so excited-she is already so loved and we can't wait until her arrival. My pregnancy has been really great and I am looking forward to getting bigger and bigger. :)

Summer ending is bitter-sweet for me. I love summertime. However, this year has been super hot and when you mix heat with pregnancy, it makes for some sweaty, swollen days. The great part about summer ending means that fall is now upon us and fall is my favorite season. Football games, nice cool nights, leaves changing colors, & this year it means that we just have to finish this season and then we will be welcoming the newest member of our family.

We live in a truly beautiful place. My friend, who is not originally from Utah, mentioned to me that she had a 'moment' a few weeks back when she was on a bike ride and was stunned by the beauty of where we live and how happy she is to be living here. I usually take moments like that for granted because I grew up in this beautiful state but every now and again I find myself enjoying a moment of silence and admiring the amazing place that is Utah.

Below are some random pictures from over the summer.
